Konstantinos (“Gus”) Vlahadamis was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents who immigrated from Greece in the 1950s. Raised in a working-class family, he developed a strong foundation of discipline, perseverance, and respect for education—values instilled by parents who sacrificed greatly to create greater opportunities for their children.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, graduating with a triple major in accounting, finance, and quantitative analysis. He continued his studies at the same institution, obtaining an MBA in Finance with a minor in international business.
Following his MBA, Gus began his career as a financial analyst with Occidental Petroleum and Unisys Corporation in the Chicagoland area. During this time, he developed a keen interest in the complexities of tax, which led him to pursue a law degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
After completing law school, he joined Deloitte’s Milwaukee office, where he specialized in international tax matters. He later relocated to London, England, where he served as a professor of business and law at several American universities and was appointed Dean of Business at the American College in London.
Upon returning to the United States, Gus continued to build his legal career with a prominent estate planning firm in Austin and later with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston, where he served as a senior manager.
In 2001, he founded his own law firm, later forming a partnership with Courteney Daniel. His practice is focused on advising high-net-worth individuals and families in the areas of estate planning, complex contract matters, and international tax strategy, with particular expertise in structuring inbound investment into the United States. Gus and Courteney joined Romano & Sumner in 2026 as of counsel, focusing on the firm’s estate planning practice.
Outside of his professional practice, Gus enjoys golf, international travel, and culinary pursuits. He remains actively involved in his local church, where he dedicates his time to volunteer service, with a strong commitment to charitable outreach and serving those in need. He is a proud father of two children.
